Here’s a tip if you’re struggling to write content. Every day people like you and me are wasting a lot of time in bits and pieces. The fact is that on any given day you will probably waste 30-60 minutes waiting for something. So, here’s a question for you, what can you achieve in 30-60 minutes a day?
My answer is this: write content!
You need to write content for your blog anyway and by making the most of the time you’re wasting you’ll accomplish something that will help your blog!
The only problem with wasted time is that you’re not always in a position to actually write something on a computer. However, in most cases there are things you can do. One of the things you can do in situations that doesn’t necessarily seem suited for writing on a computer is coming up with new ideas for blog posts. When you have a list of ideas for blog posts it’s easy to turn them into actual posts once you get to a computer.
By having a pen and a notepad on you at all times you can write down your ideas at any time. When you get to your computer all you have to do is pick an idea from your list and start writing a new post.
Depending on what you do for a living, there will also be time you spend waiting in front of your computer. I know I spend at least 20 minutes a day waiting in front of my computer and that is plenty of time to write a blog post if I already know what it’s about.
So, even if you only have 30 seconds or one minute to spend on your post that is plenty of time to write one or two sentences. If you do that every time you’re waiting for something to finish processing on your computer you will have written a new post by the end of the day.
The important thing that you need to do if you’re writing like this is to make sure that you proof read your post properly. This is something you want to do anyway, but because your writing is less structured you need to make sure that you write content that is still coherent.
This one tip alone can easily result in at least one more blog post every single day. Remember to always make the most of your time, it’s the most valuable asset you have!
